The PA Home Education AffidavitFrom the PA Home Education Law (section 1327.1 PA School Code) regarding the Home Education affidavit:
********** You may begin homeschooling at any time during the school
year. The affidavit must be filed with your district of residence
superintendent when you first begin homeschooling, and every year thereafter
by August 1st. PHEA strongly suggests sending all paperwork to the district
by “return receipt requested” mail or obtaining a receipt
of documents from
the district employee accepting the affidavit and objectives. No approval
is required; as soon as you hand in the required documents, you may begin
your home education program. Below is an affidavit example to copy and paste into a word processing program. Click here for the PDE .pdf version of the home education
affidavit. Note the PDE does not require proof of diploma.
