Mission Statement
Pennsylvania Home Educators Association (PHEA) is an inclusive statewide coalition of home educators whose primary purpose is to provide accurate information and advocate for Pennsylvania home educators.
The purpose of the PHEAmember list is to encourage, empower and inform
home educators in PA as well as to discuss and promote legislative
change which will grant us more freedom and less governmental oversight.
By
joining the PHEAmembers email list you agree to the following guidelines:
1. PHEAmembers is an inclusive list. This means all list members will practice tolerance of and sensitivity to all other members when posting. We are a widely diverse group of adults and we will not always agree with everyone else's point of view.
2. Therefore, when posting please be sure to
change the subject line to accurately reflect the content of your post.
When reading, please make use of the delete key when an occasional post is
off
topic or offensive. Any complaints about posts should be directed to the
moderators or the individual posting and not the list.
3. Posts should relate to the topic of home education in PA,
how to comply with current home education law and effective ways to legislate
changes in our current home education law.
4. No forwarded posts are allowed unless approved by one of
the moderators listed. All posts should contain original composition relating
to the
topic being discussed.
PHEAmembers who repeatedly send forwards to the list will be warned
once and then banned from posting if the warning is not heeded.
5. PHEAmembers is an unmoderated list which means posts are
not read and approved by moderators before they are sent to the list. Moderators
are volunteers who may not always catch off topic threads or posts which
contain religious viewpoints or opinions on educational methodology. All
complaints of such posts should be directed to a moderator and not to the
list.
6. The views and opinions expressed on the PHEAmembers e-mail list
are those of the individual poster and not the organization.
